Rebel Bomberman 1.2

The premise in the Rebel Bomberman game, an arcade game for Windows published by Alawar Entertainment, is that aliens exist, but they aren’t peaceful and willing to share their knowledge with us. They are hostile aliens bent on invading Earth and enslaving its inhabitants. I know, what were the odds (read that with a sarcastic tone).

With the Army, Navy, Marines, National Guard and other armed forces inexplicably absent, it is up to you to fight off the invading aliens all by your lonesome – guess that’s why you are a Rebel Bomberman. What you have to do is collect blue crystals to move progress from one level to another. Once you have enough you will be able to “start the planetary engine” and save the planet. You have your wits and a variety of bombs to get the job done.

You may be thinking that I’m in a bad mood and that’s why I’m so sarcastic. It’s not just me; check out this section from the game’s official presentation:
“Yep, as usually, you are the last hope, since you and only you can fence off the alien attack. To achieve this goal, you'll have to gather the required number of crystals and start the planetary engine, which will save your planet from being overtaken.”

To play Rebel Bomberman you will have to download the game and install it on your Windows-powered PC. The download weighs in at 12.6MB, which mean it will not take long for the download to complete if you are on a high-speed internet connection. During the installation process you will be asked to change your default search provider to Ask.com, you will be asked if you want to change your homepage to Ask.com, and you will be asked if you want to install Game Box (contains Alawar Entertainment’s catalog of games). If you don’t want to change your homepage or search engine, or if you don’t want to install the Game Box, make sure to opt out. Once the game is installed you can play it free of charge for a trial period of 60 minutes.
